thanks – yes, tokyo, for exactly 16 years this month
it was bold of metropolis to run the feature, especially with the swastika girl full page – i wonder if they’ll get as many complaints as they hoped for tho….
congratulations on the excellent Metropolis cover story (i usually avoid picking up a copy, and couldn’t quite believe it when i saw your work gracing the cover). i recently saw one of your paintings (a teddy bear surgery/skull double image) at the ground floor Bunkamura gallery. i’ll be sure to get along to the Neo Japan exhibition too.
I work in a daycare and we have a lot of donated magazines for kids to flip through and cut up, one of the kids came up to me and asked if I could sketch the cover in a fairy costume jajaja, I distracted them and swiped the metro for myself and began flipping through it during downtime, sooo impressed. Love your art, I’ll be keeping an eye out during my last year in Japan. (:
Saw your art in the Metropolis and was loving every bit of it.
I didn’t realise you was based in Japan. (Tokyo?)
Will definately be keepng an eye out for your stuff from now on.
Keep the faith.
